Susie Homemaker

We have survived over a week of wedded bliss. I came back to Saint Paul Wednesday and have spent the last five days organizing, trips to goodwill, and cleaning. We live in a tiny apartment, I mean, it's really small! I only brought all my clothes and make-up and we had no room. (it takes a lot to get this mug looking smoking) Basically that means I had to make 5 trips to Goodwill to make it fit.

Also I want to know if anyone knew of this so-called Wedding Let Down Syndrome? Because now that I have talked to other Brides, I have a feeling I am not alone. Our Wedding was awesome, BEST PARTY EVER...but it is over!! The last six months of my life has been a whirl wind. It was Graduation, drive to Des Moines and Study everyday all day for the test of my life.. Drive To Holstein and Plan your entire wedding in two months.. Walk down the aisle...Party.. and END SCENE. I was a little sad last week. I was so crabby I looked at Matt, and go "Matt, you don't understand it is all over! There is nothing left cool to do. I went to college, I am over 21, and I was a Beautiful Bride, MY LIFE IS OVER!!" Obviously I Was a little Dramatic... It is that it was just all such a beautiful blur. I am sure that is how all momentous occasions in your life are; weddings, birth of children, blood alcohol level tests... I kind of remember feeling like this when I graduated college, that was hard..

So now I am on to being Susie Homemaker and Finding a Job. I have been able to keep myself busy all day so far, but who knows when that will wear away.

I make Dinner in my Sunday Be... I mean dirty Sweats..

His and Her Moccasins. The new His and Her Towels.. Nothing says love like Matching Indoor/Outdoor Slippers from Target, or as Matt Calls them Windals (Winter Sandals)

Lastly, the best part of our first week of wedded bliss was the Iowa Game Saturday Night. It was the best and WORST GAME EVER to watch, it was just so tense! The last 5 minutes I covered my eyes and swore like I was stuck in the Schaller Haunted House, and Matt rocked back and forth like they took away the internets. And then it happened... After watching so many passes that should have been, McNutt Did it! Matt was running around the coffee table, I was jumping up and down on the couch. We watched the last couple minutes a million times in disbelief, and then put on our Hawk Gear and Headed Out to celebrate! We were both so happy, we convinced ourselves that when we have a baby he or she shall be named Ricky McNutt or Rickstine McNutt, they are both fabulous names..

Matt Wishing he was on the Iowa Offensive Line..as he tells me all the time, he was an Algona Bulldog...blah..blah...blah..

Well I have yet to do my wedding post. I will get it up later this week of all my favorite snapshots I have gotten from all my friends and family. I need to keep the bridal aura alive.(A Girl can Dream, can't she?) I already told Matt we are renewing our vows on our 10th anniversary, and I want to wear a pretty dress and have a party. He looked me straight in the eyes and said, "No." He said it pretty firmly too...So I have 9 years and 51 weeks to change his mind... better start now!
