I am Pro-American

You Must Watch Keith Olbermann's Special Comment. It is absolutely fabulous. I am so sick of this Anti-American/Pro-American BS. I do not agree with one aspect of the Republican agenda but I would never, EVER be naive or egotistical enough to state that they are Un-American. To accuse fellow Americans and Congressmen through the use of McCarthyism type witch hunts of"Anti-Americanism" is one of the most cowardly and unpatriotic endeavors ever taken by the Republican party. I am posting the link to Keith's special comment, and if you have 5 minutes I recommend you watch it.

Big Wheels Keep on Turning....MoMo keeps on Burning..

Ms. Tina and her Hot Back-Up Dancers..

Well last week was one big week. Monday I forced Matt to Kathy Griffin, he loved it..I caught him laughing. She was fabulous by the way. I used to not like her, but then I watched her show and loved it!! Thursday Mom, Meghann, and Miss Lillian came up to the Cities to see the Queen Ms. Tina Turner. Matt was kind enough to watch Ms. Lilly..

Matt was a great babysitter for Lilly... They got to watch the Dodgers..

Tina was awesome. It was totally worth it. One complaint... If you are going to a concert where the crowd is mostly over 50 pay for the good seats so you can dance. I wanted to stand and dance the whole time. All the Lamersons behind us sat and gave us bad looks. The ladies right behind us even left. Well Debbie and Meghann experienced this at Cher in Omaha a couple of years ago and got kicked out (Yes Meghann got kicked out of Cher with her parents..ask them about it sometime) So we had to dance in our seats. I stood for all of the best one's though..

Meghann, Mom, and I warming up for Tina

Deborah was like a kid in a candy store, or maybe more appropriately a menopausal woman in a sauna...jk mom I love you so!!..Anyway..Debbie busted a move in her seat...Of course I took pictures. Mom kept shouting, "This is great, Oh the Best night ever!!" Notice Meghann's face in the pictures.. We all know you can't stop a dancing Debbie...

The Token "Debbie Point" Modified for sitting due to the old bags behind us..

Tina just Busting it Out!! I want to be Tina when I grow up...

Mom sweating up a storm..

Saturday I took Mom, Meg, and Lilly to Stillwater, MN which is a quaint river town that has lots of fun shops. It was even on the Today show as one of the best places to see in the fall. We ate lots of food and come Sunday we were all tired and stuffed..All and all a great weekend..

Lillian loved the music at the Downtowner (Restaurant in St. Paul)

And lastly..It would not be a post without some politics. I filled out my Absentee ballot the other day. It was very exciting. This is only my second presidential election that I have been able to vote in, and I REALLY want to be on the winning team..like really badly.. I am sure this is no surprise but I proudly voted for Senator Barack Obama and Joe Biden. Three weeks left..I am ready for it to be over, but I am a nervous wreck. Matt is the optimist I am more of Irish in my thinking..I am a firm believer in Murphy's Law..What ever can go wrong will go wrong.. Anyone remember the 2000 election? Well everyone do your civic duty and vote!! YES WE CAN!!!

My Boy and my Ballot...I put Country First and voted for Obama!! (Don't mind the bad picture just got done working out, in an Obama T-shirt mind you..I am hardcore)

Red Hair?? And Twin Cities Marathon

Well I did get my hair dyed and I am not happy. No, I don't look like Carrot Top but I don't look like a hot red hair either. I wanted Debra Messing or Kate Walsh on Grey's/Private Practice..not this..My hair is just its regular brown with a subtle red tint. I am not extremely happy with it. I just had it done a week ago and it is even less red..I am trying to decide if I go back and complain, But I love the girl who does my hair. Besides this experience I have no complaints. She said she was putting a little brown so not as to make it bright red, but my luck the brown took over. The reason it makes me so mad is that we all know, taking care of your hair is expensive and for me it means planning over a month in advance as a broke student.
I don't know what the etiquette is if you go back, do you get a free dye job, half off, or no?? Because it doesn't look bad, it just doesn't look red...So I don't know what to do.

Red..I think Not..

Another Angle..

Does anyone see red??? Besides the beautiful jacket I am wearing??

Matt wanted to know how his hair looked (making fun of me as usual) He forgets his is almost gone..Still handsome though :)

Sunday was the Twin Cities Marathon. Matt has just recently moved to the historic and gorgeous Cathedral Hill Neighborhood in St. Paul. We have realized how much we wish he lived here before. We are surrounded by awesome old buildings. The Finish Line for the marathon was just at the end of our street so we went and watched the runners come in. The last stretch the runners come around the corner by the Cathedral and then run the last quarter mile to the State Capitol.

There is no way I could ever do this. It was neat to see how excited all the runners were, especially those who qualified for Boston. I think my favorite moments though were when a Dad stopped to kiss all three of his kids and wife, and then when a husband/bf joined his wife/gf who was wearing a breast cancer survivor shirt and he ran with her at the end.. We had also heard there was a Marine in Full Cameo carrying the American and Marine Flag during the whole marathon. We saw him come in. He had lost some of his gear but that was still pretty cool. All in All it was a fun Sunday Morning... Tomorrow we go to Kathy Griffin and then Mom and Meghann will be here for Tina Turner on Thursday.. Big week..Here our some pictures from the marathon..

Matt Getting Ready for the Runners..

Cathedral..We see it everyday and forget its Beauty. It is also where we go to Mass because they have 7:00 on Saturday night. Really works for us because we are usually going out to eat and or drink about 8:00, nice to know they took the single crowd into mind when planning their Mass Schedule.

Finish Line to the Capital Grounds

Marine and Pack of Runners, they were around the 3:45/4 hour mark. I wouldn't carry a flag and could not do it in under 5!!
