Swearing In

I finally got my license to swear...no wait I got a license to attend bars....that's not it either...I know! I got sworn in to the Iowa Bar...I think that is right. Thursday I met Matt in DM so that we could attend the mandatory swearing in on Friday. It was a nice little ceremony. Personally it would be nice if after all the hoops you have to jump through if they just sent the license to you in the mail with a gift certificate to a Liquor Store and a box of Girl Scout Cookies so that you could celebrate in the appropriate manner, but I mean how would you know who wants thin mints or caramel delights? I get it.. Instead you go and listen to some speeches about how the hard work is just beginning and they try and make you feel like being a lawyer is exciting when really it just sounds time consuming and like a lot of work.. Just when I was getting in to bartending a few hours a week and regularly watching shows on lifetime they rip it away from me...great...thanks reality!!

Three Years of hell and it all boils down to this

Saturday we attended a friend of Matt's wedding in Sioux City. We had a good time but it was a whirlwind fast weekend. The time is flying until our wedding and I wish it would slow down.. I still have things I have to do, weight to lose (I could use a quick case of mono right now...) The last few weeks have been great. I had a fabulous shower and got lots of sweet gifts, a license to practice law, and I still am sleeping in a little too much.. but who cares I only have two more weeks to live like this.. then I guess I really need to get a job...

Well on to the wedding! Matt and I had our last date as boyfriend and girlfriend the other night so I told him the next time we are together to go out we will be those crazy drunken Kajewski's.. People will start referring to us as one person, ya know how when your married it is no longer Matt Kajewski and Maureen Cosgrove it is now "Matt and Maureen." Hopefully they won't preface or follow it with "those jerks" but I have a feeling it is quite possible. Well on to being a bride!!
