Just Call me Dr. Cosgrove or Maureen Cosgrove J.D. Whatever Works

I did it.. I graduated law school. I know you all had your doubts. "She will get kicked out before she finishes," "She can't stay off the sauce that long," "She Can't get up before 10!", "There is no way she will finish law school with that sailor's mouth!!" I know what everyone was saying behind my back, but I kicked it old school and graduated.

Bottom: Ash, Me, Linds

I know it has been a LONG time since I updated, but basically after the big EJ/BJ concert I was studying for finals, getting organized, and then CELEBRATING that I am done with school forever with banquets, boat cruises, dinners, parties..etc...I felt like Lindsay Lohan circa 2008 with all the socializing I did in one week!

Anyway... It was a very nice graduation. Matt got me two bracelets. One from JCrew that I may have mentioned a thousand times how pretty it would look with my wedding dress.. And another one from the Irish Store that we had to return because my wrists are just too small and dainty. Instead I picked out a cool Celtic stained glass thing to hang in the window of our hypothetical house that we cannot buy because I just spent thousands of dollars on this degree and am unemployed, but that is another post.

T.C. and Debbie came to the cities. We had a blast. I may have had a little too much fun at the Piano bar and thought I was Tina Turner and that I was really good at it...I also learned valuable lessons, 1) This is the digital age, someone is recording (That someone is Matt or Ash) 2) No one can be Tina Turner, really no one, except Tina, and 3) When Matt says I am really good at something or says, "Oh yeah that is a good idea Maureen, go do that!", he really is just an enabler and he really enjoys it when I embarrass myself. But I love Tina, we all know that, and when she's playing, I am Dancing!!

T.C. handing over the torch of the miserable lawyer's life to me...I can now officially be a miserable over-worked crabby lawyer for the rest of my life... Thanks Dad!! (Those robes are just not flattering to anyone's figure, I look like I should be a mean fat librarian in any of the Harry Potter Movies)

Graduation was sad, exciting, and slightly anti-climatic. Law School feels like a cult. When you get in you are relieved. Then for three years you speak this weird language, hang out with your fellow nerds, and live this weird existence. When you are out with your friends comments like, "There are a million potential torts going on here," all make sense. A week later I don't know what to do with myself and I miss all my Friends in MN, but I will be back. I just don't remember my life before, and not quite sure what is going on after...too much uncertainty!! I came home and spent some time at the lake and tomorrow I leave for Des Moines to study.. I don't know what I will blog about the next few months, but I will figure something out... hopefully it won't be too depressing... I will try to be funny, but not much will be going on. Enjoy some of the pics posted and sorry for the long blog, but it has been almost a MONTH, so I needed to catch up!!

Yahoo, Maureen! I am glad you have had a relaxing week at the lake. Good luck studying....when is the bar? You'll have plenty to blog about while you are busy on the books....wedding, trips to get crappy food because you don't want to cook, OH...and when you take a break to clean the bathroom!

Congrats Mo! Good luck studying!! And by the way, you are FAR from comparison to a fat librarian even though that comment made me laugh out loud...those chicks have no personality what so ever (no offense Bonnie Barkema, you're an exception)! You would actually be fired in your first day of work as a librarian with your mouth :)

Congratulations! We all knew you could do it. I would have done a spit take had I had liquid in my mouth when I saw the photo and read the comment about your dad handing over "a lawyer's life" to you. Very funny! Don't be silly, you rocked that robe! Good luck and keep blogging!

Yea for you and your big brain! Have fun at the lake... you deserve lots and lots of cocktails.

And next time I see you remind me to tell you about MY embarrassing piano bar experience... it's too terrible to put on cyberspace comments.
