EJ and BJ

Well man, have I been busy! I went home last weekend so that Luke could become a Christian and quit being a heathen. Then it was on to one last crazy week before I can clam down for a bit. Tuesday Matt and I went to Elton John and Billy Joel, CAN YOU BEAT THAT!! It was awesome. They played for 3 1/2 hours. They played together, then they did 10-12 songs alone, and then together again.I had to go to the bathroom 3 times it was so long!! (last day of class + Sweet Concert + Cocktails = Wishing there were more bad songs to go to the bathroom to)

EJ (wearing a studded long trench coat he stole from Wyonna Judd's closet)

BJ (Very 80's Billy Joel)

I loved it! Matt liked it but he said..they played a really long time! (what a boob)I danced the whole time, Matt didn't even tap his foot. Men stink. Anyway...EJ and BJ have been major influences in my life. First for Bj...In Ms. Michealson's 7th grade history class she assigned groups parts of "We Didn't Start the Fire" to research. Each group had to do presentations. I thought that idea was awesome. I was hooked, I had to know EVERYTHING that was mentioned in that song. It is one of my first vivid memories of loving history. Hence I was a history major in college, and to this day I have a huge, if not abnormal, affinity for politics.

Now EJ on the other hand, that story is different. I was in college living in the dorms, a freshmen at UNI I think. Anyway I was listening to the Best of Elton John and "Tiny Dancer" was on. Well my friend Anna came in and said "I love this song!!" (seriously he is the best artist ever) So I proceeded to tell her that the song was a code love song to Tony Danza. So this is how I sold this, I told her that EJ liked Tony Danza. I told her that they met in the 70's when Danza was working as a professional Dancer. So EJ changed it to Tiny Dancer, as code for T. Danza because he had yet to come out. I mean just listen to the song.. "Blue Jean Baby...LA Lady...Seamstress for the band..." Now we have all seen Danza in a pair of blue jeans (The Who's the Boss Intro..come on) that song is totally about him! I just told her I read it in rolling stone.. She believed me.. I did tell her the truth eventually. Why do I make things up like this? Oh I know why, because its funny!!

My Boys...

Well I am done with classes, work, and now I have two tests to take in the next two weeks. I have the law school banquet, 3L Party Boat Cruise and then graduation!! YES!! Matt said today, "So your telling me, that at a minimum, your going to be unemployed for at least the next 6 months?" I just said "Yes." Man he sure does know how to pick em!!

Well enjoy the video posted below. Matt loved the old guy you see dancing...he went 110% the whole night! I don't blame him..that concert was sweet!

Wow, MO, so PROUD of you. Couple of comments - old guy dancing was great, I also love BJ and EJ - cute story for you in a minute - and you definitely have an abnormal affinity for politics, but I just say that because I don't care about them! OH, and did you take the republican comment out of your "DISLIKES" because you have one in the family - although I think there are more but they just don't have the guts to admit it like I do.

OK, had to share my EJ comment - when Kevin and I got engaged on the cruise we went out that night to a piano bar with Frank, Cheri and the gang. Cheri and Dad were the only ones drunk that night and Cheri asked the piano guy to sing our song, he asked us what our song was and we didn't have one! So I told him to pick one and sing it and it would become our song. He chose "Your Song" by EJ so now we are stuck with that song as "our song" - I love it but I think Kevin is a little unsure about it!

You ROCK! I'm hoping that Matt has a very good job to keep up with your concert running! Ok..TINA...BRITTANY...and now EJ AND BJ!! Wow you've seen some good ones....I'm sure you haven't sat 5 rows from Tim McGraw and Faith Hill and had his sweat run on you! Oh I forgot your dislike for my country music!!!

I can still totally repeat every word to We Didn't Start the Fire. Great song. In fact... I'm totally humming it right now. Thanks for that.

I remember doing the same project in 7th grade history. When your class got to the line that mentioned s-e-x, did everyone stop singing and an embarrassed silence ensue?

I am so mad that we could not come up to see EJ & BJ. Kids ruin all the fun :) 7th grade history was probably one of my all time favorites at Galva-Holstein that was the class where I discovered who Phylis Diller and Twiggy were?

I can't stop laughing about your comment about EJ's jacket...straight out of Wynonna Judd's closet, that makes me laugh out loud, I don't know why I just find that damn funny humor :) Thanks for making me laugh on every blogger post you create Mo :)

Does this mean you graduated as well? Your gift is in the mail! I know the road is still long but my goodness, how far you have come. Seriously, congratulations! That is a tremendous accomplishments. Your parents should be proud but more importantly you should be proud!
