A few weeks ago Matt and I had the opportunity to attend the Michigan State game. Sara and Nick Jensen had extra tickets and we jumped at the tickets and at noon on the Friday before I was begging Matt to let us go. I actually had to convince my routine-liking husband to go at the last minute. I told him that one day we will not be able to go to Iowa City at the last minute because we will have snot-nosed kids running around. Remembering that this is our future, he said be ready in an hour.. We headed to Amana Friday and stayed with Matt's Grandma Betty who was kind enough to let us crash at the last minute. The next morning we were up early and ready to Rock Out with our Hawks Out!
Matt and his Friend Shannon... Tailgating Champs!
Matt and I at the game
It was such a great game! We were both very nervous heading into the Stadium and it could not have been any better. We had great seats and saw a great game. We jumped up to cheer for so many great plays, particularly that sweet interception and lateral, that Matt had bruises on the back of his legs. We drove back that night and thus had an exhausting weekend, but it was so worth it!
We also carved some pumpkins for the trick or treating, well I should say Matt. This was his excuse to get out of cleaning.
We also were lucky enough to have our fist snow of the season. (Sarcasm). It was nice to sit at home on Friday and watch the snow, but I made sure Matt did all the scooping on Saturday. Well when I went out to do my supervisory inspection, this is what I saw....
We might have to work on his technique...
This week I turn 27 bloggers. When the hell did that happen?!!?!? I am not very happy about it. 26 was fine. It was still like hey, just chilling in my mid twenties don't mind me.. Now it is like, 27, time to start checking out the weekend wear at Eddie Bauer and LL Bean... ew... gross.. no thank you. I just have not aged past 21/22 in my head, so I get kind of peeved when I am reminded I am an adult. So I am going to Slut 21 (Forever 21) and getting myself something cheap and hot for my birthday. And no I am not talking about frozen pizza, though I might have that too...
Have a Good week bloggers!

I know how it sucks when you have a winning team and they blow it against some non-ranked team (hence Mizzou/Texas Tech???) REALLY...just totally makes you so mad! Anyway, keep your snow north...I know it will be here soon enough..but we have CABO to look forward to celebrating our friends 40th in March! And just because you have snot nosed kids doesn't mean they can't attend games! Seriously...I tell people it's like church...they get use to what to do and how damn well they better behave! Enjoy your post...oh keep meaning to ask...did you guys move???
Happy Birthday Maureen! Oh to be 27 again! Glad you got to a Hawks game...really, really sucks they blew it against a team like Northwestern. Can't believe you had snow already. Certainly not ready for that!
Northwestern?! We were also sulking around the rest of weekend... but at least we were in sunshine and 70-degree weather. Seriously, Mo. Come to Asheville. You guys would LOVE it here.
And have a super fabulous birthday!
Happy Birthday!
And thanks for the Eddie Bauer, LL Bean comment, you made me spit out my yogurt from laughing!
I love you. You are the best. And you make me laugh. All of the time. Slut 21. Classic. I had someone ask me this past weekend if I was still in school. As in, college. As in, undergraduate college. I hugged this complete stranger before I pointed out the wrinkles on my head and broke it to her that I was 30.
You could ease yourself into the LL Bean market with a monogrammed backpack:)
Kudos on the impromptu trip! I like how you subtly pointed out that you should do it while you can.
I remember being able to do things like that B.C.
