Grandma Betty with all her grandkids!!
Sunday morning I headed into the city to meet up with a couple of my girlfriends to attend the Gay Pride Parade in Minneapolis. It was FABULOUS!! Renee, being the only native Twin Cities girl had gone years ago, but Ash and I have never been. I also thought it would be fun to drag along my friend Elisabeth from work. Lets just say poor Republican Conservative Elisabeth was in Hippie, Peace, Love, and Understanding -ville.. This is Ray, Ash, and I's idea of a Holy Sunday Morning. We all had fun, even Elisabeth.(well I think anyway). There was great music, great costumes, lots of dancing, and ticker tape and glitter!! It was a gay man/every girl's dream! It always makes me happy to see people come together to celebrate individuality, family, equality, and love.

Lots and Lots of Ticker Tape and Glitter!!
There was one video I took that may be a little bit blog inappropriate, but may need to be circulated via email.. Lets just say picture a slightly overweight man in his late 50's, in whitey tighties, just dancing down Main Street.. and I mean DANCING! Beyonce, Booty-Shaking, Rhianna "We're Gonna Run This Town Tonight" Dancing! So needless to say it was a great Sunday Morning.
Sunday afternoon Matt and I hit the Hammond Links. Hammond is the small town right next to Baldwin. It is about 4 miles away and has a great little golf course that we joined for the summer. I haven't been able to play steadily since high school and I am getting my game back. Matt loves his golf.. he LOVES LOVES it.. If I hear one more time that that "he really figured it out this time," and that this is the round he is going to shoot only 4 over, I might start hitting myself in the head.. Anyone who is married to a golfer, or knows a golfer, knows what I am talking about. I just don't ever see women golfers act like men. I just like to have fun and try to get less than 7's, isn't that everyone's goal?

Matt is trying to show the bloggers how he won the longest drive contest in Hammond, and no the ball did not go 310 yards as he is claiming, but he has it all figured out..

So we are enjoying summer and heading to the lake this weekend. I didn't get to go to the lake for the 4th last year due to that whole Bar thing, but I am making up for this year. I am sure there will be lots of golfing, boating, fireworks, and food! Happy 4th of July Bloggers!
