Birthday's Galore!!

Sup Bloggers.. Just living the dream here in the 54002.. Well Matt and I have been celebrating some birthday's lately. Two weeks ago we went into the City on a Saturday night to party it up for Ms. Ray's Birthday. Only Ray could get us to come in on a Saturday night, and go to Minneapolis.. See We are Friday partiers so we can come home and chill Saturday... Plus we are Saint Pauler's... NOT Minneapoliser's... We are more chill.. but we can be street when we need to be. Ray's Party was a blast. She was the belle of the ball, I mean of course she would be. We also let her be the skinniest and prettiest girl for one night only.. because usually you can only have one, being both is just plain ass greedy.

Adam, Danny, and Matt trying to look cool..

Ash, Liz, Ray, and I (billowy blouse makes me look huge..please ignore)

Kajewski's...

But the biggest birthday of them all was this Saturday. Mr. Matthew John Kajewski turned 31 years old folks!! Yes 31.. and the sad part is, I remember when my dad was 31 and thinking he was wicked old... so I guess that means Matt is really old... All Matt wanted to do for his birthday was go to Saint Paul to our Favorite Italian Place (Trattoria Davinci), eat his requested homemade, from scratch, made with love carrot cake, and chillax all weekend. It is crazy how fast the last 5 years have gone. See I met Matt a week before he turned 26.. what the hell have we been doing the last 5 years?? Oh yeah, grad school for Matt, Law School for me, eating, drinking, socializing, making fun of republicans.. we really have our routine down...

Birthday Boy!!

So I was in the grocery store buying candles for Matt's birthday cake and the lady at the checkout looks at me all sweetly, and goes, "Oh somebody is a teenager! That is a big birthday! Is it a son or daughter?" First I just got done working out and was feeling young, thin, all those delusional things that sweating makes you feel, and I am thinking.. you bitch.. I am way too young to have a 13 year old.. then I realized I was 26 years old and living in Baldwin,WI and technically the 13 year old should probably be my oldest of 3 or 4 children...

But I just responded, "Actually, he is 31." Then she was confused, So I clarified, "The candles are for my husband, he is 31, we are childless and act like juveniles..I really think the trick candles are going to get him this year!" Needless to say she then looked at me like some crazy lady.. which I get A LOT!!

Please don't judge the blankets hanging over the windows.. Apparently the curtains I bought are not dark enough.. Matt likes things to be like a cave, and one Saturday this winter he put the blankets up to make a cave, and he won't take them down... this is what I mean, when I say we really need to get out of the college stage.. blankets on windows.. exhibit 1..

Let Them Eat CAKE!! (this is sitting in my fridge.. not cool..)

So all in all it was a good birthday! Hope all my fellow Bloggers are Well!

Awww that's the MoCos Blogga Please blog update I needed! I love the store checkout lady story & I'm not gonna lie, I was a little uncomfortable having to sit through the whole happy birthday song while Matt sat there...& then I started noticing things...like was that bacon on top of his cake?! I scrolled down & got the explanation of the blankets, that's fine, I totally get what Matt's going for there...& then I was waiting & waiting to read the explanation & some silly story of why there was bacon on his cake?! Thanks for the upclose photo of the cake. I have been set straight! Take care kiddies!

LOVE this blog. Perfect. Happy birthday to Mr. Kajewski! And I hid all the blankets from Dirk when we moved to the new house so that we won't have a repeat of the cave-like frat house blankets on the window so we can sleep past 6:30 stuff.

The blankets are funny, but I was laughing at Matt and his 'hand gestures' when you started singing. OMG.
Then I had to watch it again to see what Leyna was talking about with the bacon? thing.
Can't believe the check out lady!
you guys are a hoot.

btw- word verification: rectim
I couldn't make that up
