The Padres at the Party
Well for some reason a few years ago at a Mother's Day or Father's Day grill out, I can't remember how it got started, but for some reason the challenge started as to how long you could last in the beer ice bucket, and it has now become a tradition. Matt and I had a face off. I really thought I was going to win. Considering that the first ever anti-gravity hot alley was on the line if you lost, and I didn't want to lose! I lasted 16 minutes. Yes 16 minutes in a bucket of frozen ice, how dumb are we!! Matt refused to let me win. Though when it was over I realized how stupid I was. I should have quit at 5, he would have lost both feet before he lost to me!! My mom wasn't going to let us stand in there much longer anyway.. something about hypothermia and what not..I don't know I don't really listen..
Initial Dip...Notice my facial expression...that water is so cold!!
Upping the Ante by removing a layer of clothing..I was dying at this point.
I gave up, Matt is the winner..
End Result...Some red feet..Warming them up was the worst part!!
Well Because I lost I had to do the hot alley (crawl between a line of people's leg's while they get to smack your rump.. hence the term "hot alley") Well this was the first anti-gravity hot alley up the stairs. Matt thought he was in the clear until they started chanting "Send the Groom, Send the Groom!" He made it through alright. The hot alley was not nearly as bad as the feats of strength. Who knew it took so many challenges to marry a Cosgrove!

All in all it was a great party. I am very thankful that Matt has embraced my family's weird traditions and abnormalities. Hey, at least we keep things entertaining!! It was a lot of fun to have our family and friends together. We appreciate everyone coming out to celebrate, and especially my cousin Erin who organized one hell of a party!! I have the hosting duties for the next one and I hope I can top it!

Kajewski's at the Party... They kept looking for a door marked Exit..I don't know why?? jk..

What can I say Mo? It was a great party. Please thank his family for putting up with us, and we are so excited to have him join your crazy Cosgrove family! I think each engagement party is getting better and better! Who do you think will be next???
