Red Hair?? And Twin Cities Marathon

Well I did get my hair dyed and I am not happy. No, I don't look like Carrot Top but I don't look like a hot red hair either. I wanted Debra Messing or Kate Walsh on Grey's/Private Practice..not this..My hair is just its regular brown with a subtle red tint. I am not extremely happy with it. I just had it done a week ago and it is even less red..I am trying to decide if I go back and complain, But I love the girl who does my hair. Besides this experience I have no complaints. She said she was putting a little brown so not as to make it bright red, but my luck the brown took over. The reason it makes me so mad is that we all know, taking care of your hair is expensive and for me it means planning over a month in advance as a broke student.
I don't know what the etiquette is if you go back, do you get a free dye job, half off, or no?? Because it doesn't look bad, it just doesn't look red...So I don't know what to do.

Red..I think Not..

Another Angle..

Does anyone see red??? Besides the beautiful jacket I am wearing??

Matt wanted to know how his hair looked (making fun of me as usual) He forgets his is almost gone..Still handsome though :)

Sunday was the Twin Cities Marathon. Matt has just recently moved to the historic and gorgeous Cathedral Hill Neighborhood in St. Paul. We have realized how much we wish he lived here before. We are surrounded by awesome old buildings. The Finish Line for the marathon was just at the end of our street so we went and watched the runners come in. The last stretch the runners come around the corner by the Cathedral and then run the last quarter mile to the State Capitol.

There is no way I could ever do this. It was neat to see how excited all the runners were, especially those who qualified for Boston. I think my favorite moments though were when a Dad stopped to kiss all three of his kids and wife, and then when a husband/bf joined his wife/gf who was wearing a breast cancer survivor shirt and he ran with her at the end.. We had also heard there was a Marine in Full Cameo carrying the American and Marine Flag during the whole marathon. We saw him come in. He had lost some of his gear but that was still pretty cool. All in All it was a fun Sunday Morning... Tomorrow we go to Kathy Griffin and then Mom and Meghann will be here for Tina Turner on Thursday.. Big week..Here our some pictures from the marathon..

Matt Getting Ready for the Runners..

Cathedral..We see it everyday and forget its Beauty. It is also where we go to Mass because they have 7:00 on Saturday night. Really works for us because we are usually going out to eat and or drink about 8:00, nice to know they took the single crowd into mind when planning their Mass Schedule.

Finish Line to the Capital Grounds

Marine and Pack of Runners, they were around the 3:45/4 hour mark. I wouldn't carry a flag and could not do it in under 5!!

So-I like the hair, though not as red as I thought? Just so you know I am going brown next Tuesday. A winter thing I guess-we'll see what Hillary can do!

If you respect and like your hairstylist as much as it seems, I'm sure she would rather you were happy with your hair than not. She risks losing a client if you aren't. So I would just call her and say, "you know, this is not what I was really going for, what can we do to fix it on a limited law student budget?" And see what she says. A girlfriend of mine in the Ham had a horrible dye job and they fixed it for free! So you never know.

Matt's neighborhood looks awesome! I need to do some exploring in St. Paul!

Looks like a beautiful part of the city! I like the color...but I also thought you would be more red! We met lots of MN people in Mexico that were there for a wedding...had a blast with them!
