Matt and Mo Christmas

Ah bloggers...I have one test left and I am done. I am just giving up..throwing in the towel..somebody else is going to have to be in the top of the class this semester(Ha Ha). Well Matt and I celebrated "Our" Christmas. We usually get all dressed up and go out to eat and make a night of it, but I just didn't have a break this year.

30 years old and still a little boy..

Matt started a tradition for us, 2 Christmases ago. We can only get things for our Stockings from Walgreens. So that means each of us walks away with lots of candy and personal hygiene products. I told him we have to keep doing this for each other. It gets funnier every year. And when we are old we can just get eachother's shopping list. Why do old people love chain pharmacies? One of my fondest memories of my grandmother was her love of Walgreens.. I think that is the pharmacy I went with her to a lot..The woman really just loved a deal..so Grandma would appreciate our frugal stocking stuffers..

Alright Feet Lotion!! Best Christmas Ever!

Well I got a Waterford ring holder for my rings. Very fancy. Some earrings I picked out at Herberger's (Younkers) that are cool. I also got a Panini Maker and drumroll...Not the Barbie Dream House, but a sweet suitcase. I am guessing Matt is taking me on a trip soon. (I wish)

Earrings...Oooh...Aaaah.... (Oh and I got Bangs..Not sure I like them..oh well)

No Dream House..Maybe next year... But a trip to Europe I hope??

Matt was not that excited with his gifts. He was wondering why I got him so many sweaters until I gave him a picture of the GPS that will be here soon.(The company I ordered it from "misplaced" it.) We never go anywhere that we don't know how to get to..So I hope this thing is useful...

You could be a little more appreciative! (He is kidding..he just thinks posing is hilarious)

Now he likes Christmas..GPS is in the mail!

Well I hope everyone has a good Christmas. I am so excited for Santa!! Before I head home I am going to Des Moines this weekend to meet some girlfriends and to "celebrate". We are also going to go Wedding dress shopping so I will let ya know if I find anything cool. It is going to be hard to find a dress that makes me look 20lbs thinner. Why do brides wear white?? Grr... MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

One year my daddy gave mama a suitcase. She got a little pissed about it. Then she opened it a few days later and there was a plane ticket to see her family inside! SO, did you check the interior?!

P.S. Love the bangs!

What a lovely Christmas tree. Puts mine to shame! Hey, a suitcase is a beautiful gift. I presume you are talking about Berneil when you talk about your trips to Walgreens. Come to think of it, we did spend an inordinate amount of time there. The woman loved to shop! the finish line is in sight. Stay the course! Would you like any other cliches? How about law school will be over before you know it...then you have to go out and practice law against and with all of those $%^$%# lawyers. Oh yeah, I forgot my husband's a lawyer, my father in law is a lawyer, my brother in law is a lawyer, half your family are lawyers. Wow, good luck Matt!! Merry Christmas!!

That is great you are starting your Christmas traditions early! I don't think Heath has even thought about Christmas and oh I don't think he has relized that he also has our anniversary 2 days after the big day. Who would get married 2 days after Christmas! Crazy People!

Thanks is too funny about Grandma. We still laugh at her frugalness...wish I had more of it!

I love that you guys have already made Christmas traditions.

L-O-V-E the bangs. Super sassy.

Good luck with dress shopping. It's a bit stressful, but always fun to dress up. Don't forget your spanx!

LOVE the bangs! Love the Christmas tradition - I might steal it since we have not bought our stocking stuffers yet! Just read Amy's suggestion of spanx and I also highly suggest those hideous and uncomfortable fat pinchers. I do not recommend crash dieting before the wedding like I did (my dress arrived 2 sizes too small and I could not get a replacement) . . . I was starving and ate my a$$ off on the honeymoon and literally gained so much weight in ten days that I didn't fit into my dresses at the end of the week!!! Can you say cheeseburger and fries in bed at 2am???? Every night????

Debbie, now that you mention it there was something reminiscent about that shot. Of course Mo is much cuter but there are some similarities(from when I was 12 that is!). I just left a message on Katie's blog talking about how much Michaele is looking like Mom. check out her Christmas card this year...it's kind of eerie but in a very good way! Merry Christmas!

Love the bangs! I don't know Darcy, but I think you look a little like your Mama in that picture.

I also love the Walgreens idea. What a fun thing to start.

As for the wedding dress, there's always ivory! Shane and I watch Bridezilla's like addicts on Monday evenings. Watch that show once! They prove that you can wear any color to your own wedding. Doesn't have to look good, but you can wear it! HAHAHAHA

See you over Christmas!

Love the Walgreens tradition! You'll have to update us on dress shopping...I would pay money to come with you dress shopping actually! Some of your one-liners are going to take the bridal shop employees off guard! :)
There's a new bridal shop here in Okoboji if you get the chance.. always looks good from the window anyway??
