BARACK AND ROLL

Obama and Cosgrove's March 2007 (Two College Kids, one Aide, and a minivan.. this was the beginning)

If you don't know already I love Politics...Luckily Matt does also. We don't think that watching MSNBC from 5-8 every night is weird....doesn't everybody do that??? So when we heard our boy Obama was coming to our stomping grounds of St. Paul in order to solidify his nomination as the Democratic Candidate for the Presidency, you can Guarantee we were there.

So on Tuesday Matt, my best law buddy Renee, and I headed to the Xcel Center to witness history. Let's just say waiting in line was CRAZY!! By the time we found the end of the line we were lined up 25 blocks deep!! St. Paul was buzzing.... People were cheering, everyone stayed in line, no one budged.. (these people are democrats, we are not fear-mongers) it amazingly all worked out great.

The line was 20 blocks ahead of us, and 15 blocks behind us...CRAZY!!
For a campaign of Hope we were pretty hopeless about getting in, but I wasn't giving up, No way was I missing this!! (Note:Excel holds about 20k, they say 32k showed up!)

Matt being Negative and Trying to get Renee and I to leave

Renee and I keeping the faith!!

We did it!! Victory we are in!!

We stood in line for 3 hours and then all three of us stood in awe of what we were witnessing. We all had huge grins on our face, screamed like the Hawks won the Rose Bowl and Listened to the 44th President of the U.S. give a great speech.

Obama and Michelle (Love Love HER!!)

This Place was Buzzing! We were in nose bleed.. I know...that stinks. But we have jobs people, we couldn't stand in line from noon to nine to get a good seat!!

It was a good race, and I am relieved it is over. You'll never see the republicans (rich white men only party) have their top two candidates both be incredibly competent committed public servants who happen to be a woman and a black man. Needless to say I was proud of my party and my beliefs that night. (this is as gushy as I get).

The next big moment I wish I could witness would be when Barack and Hillary walk on stage together.. That is going to be off the chain and we will BARACK AND ROLL.... Though I don't know if he will pick her.. (she wasn't the nicest to him, and I am little angry with her, but we will be friends again) But if he did, it would be a definite good-bye to those fear mongering republicans who have ruined our economy, stripped us of our civil liberties, isolated us from all other nations, lied us into an unnecessary war, outed a CIA agent because of political differences, abuse religion and use it as a wedge, and hijacked the words "Freedom" and "Liberty" and basically F* up everything.. Sorry.. Got that out of my system.. It's all just starting for me...

I will have more pictures in August when the Fear Mongers come to town,I work for the County Attorney and the Excel is right across the street so I can get some get some cool pics.. And hey people go Vote!!!...DEMOCRATIC that is!!! Now is the Time, and This is the Place.. YES WE CAN!!!

I am jealous too! My friend Holley is one of his Alabama delegates and will be in Colorado! In Alabama we prefer to say AlOBAMA :-)

As for proudly declaring our democratic political leanings, two women in Birmingham got tired of seeing the W stickers on cars after the last election and came up with their own sticker:

I'm a blue dot sporter, for sure.

As my editor-in-chief likes to say, "Clinton ruined a dress. Bush ruined a nation."
